Gloning Krantechnik GmbH, founded in 1983, has developed over the last four decades into one of Europe’s leading suppliers of specialised cranes and a standard crane supplier in southern Germany.

In addition to its status as a specialised crane supplier, the company is a strong partner in southern Germany for standard crane systems of all kinds as well as for crane conversions of existing systems.

A highly qualified service team rounds off the range of services, which includes repair and maintenance work for all makes of crane as well as customised solutions.

The company’s roots go back to Josef Gloning Senior, who began with his many years of experience in the maintenance of lifting equipment. His work began with the classic transporter to maintain and repair existing crane systems and lifting equipment from well-known manufacturers in mobile use. The success of this service led him to specialise in the manufacture of special crane systems on a comparatively small production area of 450 m2.

This specialisation laid the foundation for today’s company, which has developed into the largest crane manufacturer in the region. At the current site in Stödtlen, on a production area of over 8000 m2, crane systems and runways are developed and manufactured in different variants. These are used in particular in the metal products, energy, mechanical and plant engineering, logistics, aerospace technology, clean room, wood and paper industries.
